X INTERNATIONAL CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP

As part of the initiatives aimed at enhancing the manuscripts and printed books collections of the Correr Museum, we offer once again the calligraphy workshop offered in English.

The course will be lead by the artist Monica Dengo with Ewan Clayton, design professor at the University of Sunderland and author of the book “The Golden Thread”, on the history of writing. The workshop will be held at the  Correr Museum to offer the possibility of viewing and studying the historical manuscripts collection of the Museum’s Library.

In this course we’ll focus on Western writing as a body experience that has links to arts like figure drawing and dance, or disciplines like the martial arts.
