The unifying theme is phonetic writing systems<\/strong>: the Korean alphabet <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hangeul<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and the Latin alphabet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The works of <\/span><b>Kim Doo Kyung<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>Kang Byung-In<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and <\/span><b>Thomas Ingmire<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> explore writing as a visual and musical gesture; <\/span><b>Amos Paul Kennedy Jr.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, on the other hand, investigates its communicative and social power through letterpress printing. The exhibition thus becomes a dialogue between the intimate, human dimension of the handwritten sign and the collective communicative strength of the printed word.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Korean artists work with <\/span><strong><i>Hangeul<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the alphabet created in the 15th century to make writing accessible to the people. In their calligraphy, the shapes of vowels and consonants become vehicles for emotion and cosmological concepts, uniting gesture, mind, and breath in a meditative act that transforms writing into a spiritual practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In ambito occidentale, Thomas Ingmire rinnova la tradizione calligrafica esplorando il dialogo tra poesia, musica e forma grafica. Diversamente, Amos Paul Kennedy jr. utilizza la tipografia per diffondere messaggi sociali ispirati ai diritti civili: i suoi poster colorati e incisivi trasformano la parola in strumento di comunicazione collettiva.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Alongside the contemporary works, <strong>the exhibition also presents historical documents, establishing a dialogue with the history of writing<\/strong> and linking two graphic systems born of theoretical reflection and specific cultural intentions: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hangeul<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, developed in 15th-century Korea, and <\/span><strong><i>humanistic script<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, which flourished in Renaissance Europe and was based on the Carolingian minuscule of the 9th\u201310th centuries.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"class_list":["post-1896","mostra","type-mostra","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>CHARACTERS.
