For bringing visitors into the Museo Archeologico Nazionale – included in the combined itinerary with Museo Correr and Monumental Rooms of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana – it has been created a multimedia guide that offers textual materials in Italian and English, audioguides accessible to totally blind or partially sighted visitors, and videos in sign language for deaf or hearing-impaired visitors.
By the app, the visitor has the opportunity of discovering the presentation of the most important art works, as well as to learn about curiosity and exclusive research materials.
For example, a series of images that illustrate the complex folding process of rare Japanese clothes, or the music of some ancient instruments exhibited and much more.
The app is available for free at the museum via QR code or by personal computer, allowing visitors to explore art works before and after the visit at the Museum of Oriental Art .
A digital tool which matches the cultural competence of Venetian Museums with researches about accessibility by the Department of Cultural Studies and Comparative Linguistics at the University Ca’ Foscari in Venice, from which comes the spin-off VEASYT.
