For the third year in a row, Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia is proposing, on the occasion of the international glass festival The Venice Glass Week, a conference dedicated to an insight on one of the oldest and most significant production, that of pearls.

After the conferences titled “The history of glass beads” and “The bead collections of Italian museums”, in this current edition the collections of glass beads from international museums are the stars, with the presence of scholars and conservators from prestigious museum institutions coming from various countries of the world.

A unique opportunity to discover how these tiny and minuscule masterpieces have accompanied human history since the most remote times to the present, in different part of the world and cultural contexts and to investigate many aspects of their production.
